Key Stage 2 at Seaview Primary School builds on the foundations laid in earlier years, following the Northern Ireland Curriculum for pupils in Years 5 to 7. The curriculum continues to be delivered through the six Areas of Learning: Language and Literacy, Mathematics and Numeracy, The World Around Us, The Arts, Physical Education, and Personal Development and Mutual Understanding. At this stage, children deepen their understanding of key concepts, develop higher-order thinking skills, and apply their learning in more complex and meaningful contexts. We encourage independence, collaboration, and problem-solving, preparing pupils for the transition to post-primary education. Our aim is to ensure every child leaves Key Stage 2 confident, resilient and ready for the next stage of their learning journey.
