Curriculum For All
At Seaview Primary School, our curriculum is designed to support the holistic development of every learner. We aim to nurture not only academic achievement but also social, emotional, and physical well-being. Through a balanced programme of Literacy, Numeracy, UICT, the Arts, Physical Education, The World Around Us, Religious Education and Personal development and Mutual Understanding, pupils grow into confident, resilient individuals who are prepared for life beyond the classroom.
Our approach is learner-centred, inclusive and flexible. We adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse needs, ensuring that every child feels valued and supported. By embedding forward-looking skills such as digital literacy, problem-solving and critical thinking, we prepare pupils for an ever-changing world. Equity is at the heart of our provision, so all learners have access to opportunities that help them thrive.
We focus on learner progress and achievement through continuous assessment and personalised feedback. Collaborative and shared learning experiences are central to our practice—pupils work together on projects, engage in peer discussions, and learn from each other in a supportive environment. This approach builds confidence, communication skills, and a sense of community within the classroom.
Partnership with parents is key to our success. We provide regular updates on progress, offer workshops, and share resources to help families support learning at home. Our work with the National Numeracy initiative strengthens this partnership by giving parents practical tools and advice to build confidence in Mathematics, ensuring that learning continues beyond the school gates.
