School Restart Information

Dear Parent and Carers,

We hope you have had a restful summer break and are looking forward to the new term starting.

The whole Seaview school community are very excited to see the children returning.

Thank you for your patience in awaiting for the restart information. The guidance from the Department of Education was released on Thursday evening. The majority of the guidance allows school to continue with the many safe practices we had in place as school ended in June.

School Timings

School restarts for all pupils on Tuesday 31st August. P1 start times are staggered and will have already been issued at the end of June and will be confirmed on Monday.

Start time will be the same all week. Tuesday is a half day with times outlined below.

School Bags

The Department of Education have advised that children may now bring school bags and pencil cases to school.

Lunch Boxes

Children are allowed to bring lunch boxes and water bottles into school. We would advise that the lunch boxes can be easily cleaned and that the water bottles are clear.

Uniform

Allowances were made with uniform towards the end term in May/June 2021 but we would like to make a fresh start with school uniform.

  • School Sweatshirt (Navy Blue) or Cardigan
  • Grey skirt/pinafore
  • Red polo shirt
  • White shirt + school tie
  • Black Shoes

Boys

  • School Sweatshirt (Navy Blue)
  • Grey trousers
  • Red polo shirt
  • White shirt + school tie
  • Black Shoes

PE

Pupils are to bring in black PE shoes and these are to be kept in school.

Breakfast Club

We plan to have Breakfast Club up and running by Monday 6th September. Further information will follow

2-3 Club

We plan to have 2-3 Club (P2/P3) up and running by Monday 13th September. Further information will follow

 

The health and safety of the children is paramount in all of our decision making. To ensure this, we will be maintaining our safe practice at the gates and would appreciate your co-operation on this matter. We would respectfully ask that masks are worn by all adults at the gates and social distancing measures are adhered to.
