Digital Skills for the Future

Digital Skills for Learning, Living and Working

At Seaview PS, pupils develop strong digital skills through daily classroom activities and structured ICT lessons. We use interactive whiteboards, tablets, and educational apps to enhance learning across subjects. Coding and problem-solving tasks are introduced through platforms like Scratch and Micro:bit, helping children understand computational thinking. These experiences prepare pupils not only for academic success but also for the digital demands of modern life and future careers.

Empowering Communication, Collaboration and Knowledge Transfer

Our school promotes collaboration through tools such as Microsoft Teams and Seesaw, enabling pupils to share work, give feedback, and communicate with teachers in a safe environment. Group projects often include digital presentations and research tasks, encouraging teamwork and effective communication. Pupils learn to create and share content responsibly, building confidence in using technology to express ideas and transfer knowledge.

Staying Safe Online and Responsible Use

Online safety is a priority at Seaview PS. We teach pupils how to protect personal information, recognize risks, and behave respectfully online through regular e-safety lessons and Safer Internet Day activities. Clear rules for responsible use of devices are reinforced in class and at home, supported by our Online Safety Policy. Parents receive guidance through workshops and newsletters, ensuring that safe and responsible digital habits extend beyond the classroom.
